What is Probus?

Our goal is to provide Fellowship, Friendship, and Fun for all men and women in their retirement and semi-retirement years.

We are a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian, and volunteer-based organization of some 250 Canadian clubs with over 35,000 members.

Our clubs are all about encouraging healthy minds and bodies and socializing with other retirees in the community.

What does a Probus club do?

Each Probus club is independently operated and offers a number of events and activities that are only limited by the imagination and leadership of its members. Typically there are monthly meetings which include presentations on a variety of topics by interesting guest speakers. A monthly newsletter keeps all members informed on what is going on.

There may also be social get-togethers over a cup of coffee or for a meal, trips to theatres or sporting events, regular meetups to go hiking or biking, etc.
